On August 2, 2012 State and federal officials will give a series of talks on the research planned at the Great Lakes Research Center. On the agenda are an introduction by biological sciences professor Charles Kerfoot at 9 a.m., Marie Colton of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, 9:20 a.m.; Carl Richards of the Environmental Protection Agency, 9:50 a.m.; Phyllis Green of Isle Royale National Park, 10:20 a.m.; Russell Strach of the US Geological Survey at 10:50 a.m.; and a panel discussion with Michigan Department of Environmental Quality officials and industry representatives at 11:30 a.m., led by Robert Shuchman, director of the Michigan Tech Research Institute.
